The SLOWIK company is the only manufacturer of levels
in Poland and ranked second globally. We use elastic glue
to fill in micro gaps between indicators and profiles of levels
made of aluminium. This technology protects the levels against
any modifications in case of shocks or falls.
We invite you to see our new catalogue presenting measuring
appliances by SŁOWIK Ltd. We have the honour to
present a brief history of our company.
The company was established in 1989 following the historical
change to the free market economy in Poland. It was founded
by Emilian Słowik, a design engineer who had been
working in the construction sector for many years. That is
how the idea for aluminium measuring appliances manufacture
(spirit-levels, traversing and floating rules) became
a reality.
The main goal of the company is to produce high-standard
measuring appliances. In construction industry, it is the
quality and not the quantity that really matters. Owing to
the quality of its products, the SŁOWIK company has won recognition
at both, domestic and international market, and
the company has found its place among the best producers
in the world. Modern production technologies we have
been applying, as well as experienced staff with their professional
qualifications and experience have all made our success
possible.
In 1992, in order to come across the requirements of the construction
industry, the SŁOWIK company was the first to launch
the production of aluminium angle gauges with and without
levels, and connectors of spatial elements, were registered by
the Polish Patent Office. Angle gauges are used for checking the
90 degree angle in the process of wall building, glaze, floor and
plaster lying, etc.
In 1993, the SŁOWIK company started the production of 4 m
long folding rules used for checking vertical and horizontal surfaces
in the house-building industry, as well as for checking horizontal
surfaces in the road-building industry.
In 1994, having consulted road-building engineers, the SŁOWIK
company launched the production of a set of road-levelling
T-bars and traversing rules with slant-metering. It can be applied
in the residential and commercial construction and road
building. With its use, the percent and degree slope and rake
can be estimated.
In 1995, at the VI International Construction Fair TARBUD 95 in
Wrocław, the SŁOWIK company was honoured for its aluminium
building tools.
At the International Road Construction Fair "Polish Expressway"
in Kielce in 1996, the SŁOWIK company received another award for the products offered by it.
In 1996, in response to customers great interest, the SŁOWIK
company, as the only company in the country, started the production
of a high-quality laser angle bars and bases to these
angle bars, the so-called rotational tribrachs. Laser angle bars
are used instead of hose-water angle bars in longer segments.
Laser used in these angle bars is compliant with the Polish Norm
PN 91-T-06700, and international norms IEC-825 and IEC-601.1.
In 1998, following market demand, the company started
the production of magnetic levels.
In 1999, at the International Construction Fair TARBUD 99
in Wrocław, the SŁOWIK company was awarded the first
prize of a GOLDEN HELMET by the Polish Chamber of Industry
and Commerce, and the mayor of Wrocław honoured
the company with a statue for the exceptionally high
quality of the tools it produces.
In 2011r. the company entered the period of fast development by moving production to modern hall in Marcinkowice.
In 2002, in order to authenticate the high quality of production
in the SŁOWIK company, an international quality certificate TUV-
CERT was implemented in accordance with the EN ISO 9001;
2000 standard.
In 2002, in consultation with plaster producers, the SŁOWIK
company introduced a universal floating rule combining
a trapezoid rule and h-type floating rule. The universal
universal
floating rule is stiffer and more precise in levelling
plastered surfaces, both with plaster and lime. As a result,
there is no need to use trapezoid and h-type floating
rules separately.
In 2002, in order to improve the quality of plaster produced
and to make the plasterers job easier, the SŁOWIK company,
in consultation with teams of plasterers, developed and implemented
an angular plasterer template, which is employed
to level plastered surfaces in corners of walls and ceilings.
In 2003, together with construction site inspectors, the
SŁOWIK company designed, and launched the production
of angle-levelling gauges, the so-called twist angle gauges
applied to check the right angle, verticality or horizontality.
In 2004, the SŁOWIK company was the first in Poland to
launch the production of a set of reinforcement tools, the
set includes:
1. A bending machine for bending reinforcement bars
with max. O 16 mm thickness and max. O8 mm clevis.
2. A tying-up device for reinforcement bars. Reinforcement
tools are designed mainly for construction companies,
which do not have their own central reinforcing
depot at disposal.
The SŁOWIKCompany is one of the two companies in the
world that applies epoxy locking system to level casings:
which eliminates vials movement in case of droping. That is
why we provide a 100% guarantee on each single item.
